The perfect bike holiday destination in the heart of Graubünden
What’s special about Lenzerheide is that it’s a real Swiss alpine village. It wasn’t a resort designed on a computer and cut through the landscape. Lenzerheide is a little town that evolved into a great ski & bike destination over time.
While the rest of the world argues about 27.5in vs 29in wheels, carbon vs aluminium frames or 150mm vs 160mm travel bikes Lenzerheide has kept it self grounded and down to earth. The truth is Lenzerheide has over 500km of marked trails and over 900km of GPS tours and a world class bike park thrown in for good measure. With all that diversity there is something for everyone to ride no matter how big their wheels are.
The heart of the bike region is the Lenzerheide Bike Park. From the Scharmoin middle station, a total of five different downhill runs lead to the Rothorn valley station. These differ not only in their difficulty levels but also in their characters.
The countless bike events in Lenzerheide every year have put the place on the map. With events as the legendary Bike Attack, the Grischa Trail RIDE, the annual testRIDE or “Europe’s most beautiful cycling marathon”, the Alpen Challenge to name a few.
A highlight of the sumemr is the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. After 3 years of world cup racing Lenzerheide will host the Mountain Bike & Trial World Championships in September 2018.
If you don’t visit Lenzerheide this summer you will only be another year older when you do…
